SAVE OUR STATION CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
|
|
The Longswamp Township Historical Society is embarking on an exciting new capital campaign and needs YOUR help!
The LTHS plans to have the Mertztown Train Station moved, assessed, repaired, and restored in order to preserve a part of our community history and to tell the story of Longswamp. The work has already begun.
Since 2010, the LTHS has diligently preserved, interpreted, and shared the history of Longswamp. The goal of the Save our Station: the Mertztown Train Station Capital Campaign is to raise $406,200 to complete this task of preserving one of the community's landmarks. The history of the Longswamp community will be presented through the preservation of the building along with it being the repository of the community's artifacts and library collections. The building will also be used as a community gathering place to continue the LTHS' mission in sharing and educating the public on the its history.
We hope you will consider making a generous contribution to the campaign so that we can complete the revitalization of the Mertztown Train Station.
If you'd like to sponsor a portion of the project, maybe the door or window restoration, please check out our list.
